THE ARTIST - LARRY GUTERSON

Born on March 25, 1959, in Wainwright, Alberta, Larry Guterson has always found himself enjoying the challenges of expression through diverse media. Working in glass, bronze, clay, and paints, Larry has developed remarkable techniques that are both innovative and unique. Intricately hand painted, Larry's creations offer a distinctive tableau providing a three-dimensional affect which immediately captivates the imagination of the viewer. Blending the elements of hand-painted glass and a large format camera technique, Larry creates a remarkable transition. His interplay between traditional media and computer interface results in unique displays that capture light internally and produce spectacular imagery. Larry's bronze sculptures have been shown from Arizona to Oregon, and his glass work is on display in galleries across Canada. Along with his glass and bronze work, Larry has found acclaim for his paintings and decorative clay pieces in both private and corporate collections in Canada and the United States.

Recently, Larry has become an active supporter of the EvenStart organization and its work with children 'at risk' from poverty, neglect, and trauma. As its Artistic Director, Larry is expanding the horizons of EvenStart's reach into the donor realm, creating vivid arts of work for sale with proceeds being earmarked for EvenStart's new building fund. .
